The National Scout Air Rifle Championships are open to all Scouts
and are not reserved for expert marksmen. However, this is not an
introductory weekend. Scouts relatively new to the sport are welcome provided
that they:
are physically capable of cocking, loading and aiming an air rifle and
pistol safely and unaided,
are mentally capable of understanding the need for safety rules and are
willing to obey them and
have received sufficient practical instruction beforehand not to need constant
correction on the range to the detriment of other shooters.
