Safety Briefing A Safety Briefing being given before rifle shooters take part in the Field Target competition.
Field Target Air Rifle.
This outdoor event is a more advanced test of marksmanship. Targets are set out at various distances and so this discipline tests  the shooter's ability to estimate range and make allowance for it.
Field Target shooting requires frequent changes of position.
The shooter may fire from standing, kneeling or sitting.
All shooters are under the skilled supervision of experienced Range Conducting Officers throughout their shoot.
With electronic and reactive targets, every shot is scored immediately.
At the end of the shoot, firers and supervisors return to the scorer's tent to record the results.
